The Swindon and District Motor Cycle Club was formed in 1932 by the amalgamation of the Works Motor Cycle Club (the British Rail MCC in Swindon) and the North Wilts Motor Cycling and Light Car Club. Further details of the Club History can be found in the book Tappet Rattle, if you are interested in a copy please ask.

Since its formation the Club has run a variety of motor cycle events and competitions such as scrambles (motocross), grass track, Trials and latterly Enduros and Long Distance Trials.

Nowadays the SDMCC is an off-road motor cycling club run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts under the ACU. We are part of the Wessex Centre of the ACU, and organise Enduros, Trials and Long Distance Trials.

Please explore our website where you will find what is going on, be able to download available regs for our events as well as the results when events have occurred.

We have an active social calendar and meet every Thursday at the Gas Club, Gypsy Lane, Swindon, from 8.30pm.

See the contact page for directions or for details of who to contact about paying us a visit. The social calendar includes several events for members, including road runs, visits to places of interest and culminates in the Annual Dinner Dance.

The Club is run by a team of annually elected officials, and currently has about 150 members. The current list of officials is detailed on the contact page.

If you wish to join the club full details are on the Membership page.
